During this time, Warren was also the Director of the Christianity and Classical Studies graduate program, which he established in 2004. While at Knox, in addition to developing the entire curriculum for the Classical Studies program, he wrote a full curriculum in Biblical Theology, known for its use of Biblical typology and a literary approach to Biblical exposition to demonstrate that all of Scripture points to Christ.
Since 2002, Warren has also served as an Assistant Minister at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, which was founded by Dr. D. James Kennedy and is known throughout the world for its outreach ministry, Evangelism Explosion. After Dr. Kennedy’s passing in 2007, Warren was selected by the session of Coral Ridge as preaching pastor for the Sunday Evening Service.
Prior to Knox, Warren’s experience includes a legal career as a trial attorney that spanned twelve years. Warren was a Senior Partner at Cowles and Thompson, P.C., a large, 120-member litigation firm in Dallas, Texas, and served as national counsel for DynCorp, a Fortune 400 defense contractor headquartered outside of Washington, D.C.
Warren is an ordained minister in the P.C.A. He is the author of 14 books that emphasize a Christ-centered approach to the Bible and has written and published numerous scholarly articles, which have appeared in Crux, Westminster Theological Journal, Journal for the Study of Reformed Theology (Korea), and over 25 popular articles in Ligonier Ministries’ Tabletalk Magazine. Since 2006, Warren has been leading annual Biblical Study tours to Israel and occasionally to Egypt, Jordan, Greece, and Turkey. He is married and has two children.
