Many people think of the Bible as a collection of sixty-six separate books from the Old and New Testament that have been gathered together at random. But we see the Bible from an entirely different lens. We see it as a divinely inspired book that tells one unified story. Once we understand that the Bible is a unified work of factual literature, though, suddenly we can look for consistent themes, symbols and imagery that run from beginning to end. When we do, we find that the predominant theme of Scripture is the suffering of Jesus on the cross and the glorious resurrection on the third day!
